Charlton Hill Surgery provides high quality healthcare to over 13,600 patients in the Andover area. We are a practice of four male and six female doctors providing General Medical Services. The nine partners, Drs Briggs, Candy, Connolly, Galvin, Hartley, Hazard, Lear, Ventour and Wyatt, are in contract with NHS England.

We have in excess of twenty five staff including Business Manager, Adrian Wise, Operations Manager, Yvonne Sheen, nursing staff, pharmacists, physiotherapists, social prescribers and clerical staff who are always happy to help with enquiries.We encourage continuity of care with one doctor, but in the event of urgent requests or when your own doctor is not available, you may be asked to see another doctor.

Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet - including prescriptions and appointments. We want to help you get the right medical assistance when you're ill, injured or have a long term condition.

Before booking an appointment with a GP or nurse please review the other options you have below.
It is now possible to access specalist services immediately, these services can be booked directly by yourself or through reception.
No appointment is necessary and your local Pharmacist is usually open late, is available at weekends and many public holidays.
It will also save you making an appointment with your GP.
A GP, nurse or pharmacist will generally not give you a prescription for over-the-counter (OTC) medicines for a range of minor health conditions.
There are many other people working at the practice or closely with us who may be able to help you faster than waiting to see a GP or nurse.
It is quicker and easier to book your routine appointment online.
Please use the NHS App or Patient Access to make an online booking (see further information below).
GP appointments are initially by phone, the GP may suggest a video call or invite you into the practice for an assessment if necessary.
Nurse/ HCA appointment will be by phone or in the surgery depending on the appointment type.
If you need to cancel your appointment please do this ASAP.
If you have booked using the NHS App or Patient Access you can cancel in the same way you made a booking.
If you are cancelling for an appointment within the next 24 hours please call the surgery to let us know.
We will then be able to offer the appointment to another patient.
If you are registered for online services then you cancel the appointment and re-book all at the same time.
Simply log on to the NHS App or Patient Access and visit your appointments section.
We are able to offer appointments every evening from 5pm to 8pm and at the weekend for our registered patients.
Appointments are available with a GP, practice nurse or healthcare assistant.
The clinician will be able to access to your medical records (with your permission) and will be able to organise blood tests, X-rays and referrals.
Appointments are also available for physiotherapy assessment and mental health assessments.

We are using an online service called eConsult.
It can be accessed via our website on your computer, mobile or tablet device.
This will allow you to get help or advice from your GP online and receive a response by the end of the next working day.
You can submit a request via the banner on our homepage.
Please note the eConsult service is not monitored outside our normal surgery opening hours.
Any eConsult request you submit outside of our normal surgery opening hours will not be read by a doctor until we open the next working day.
