Services
We're a long-established medical practice in Musselburgh.
We're continually innovating and expanding our practice, so we can provide excellent healthcare that meets the needs of each individual patient.
We work in partnership with NHS Scotland to deliver the health services our community needs.
Like almost every GP surgery in the UK, we're an independent organisation that's contracted to provide NHS services.
We're also a training practice: every year we host a number of trainee GPs, so we can support new GPs to enter the NHS and to serve our community.

Once you enter the queue please stay on hold: at our busiest times it may take a long time to get through but we'll answer your call as quickly as we can.
Our receptionists will ask you the reason for your call and book you an appointment with the most appropriate healthcare professional.

If you've had blood tests, X-rays or other tests organised here at the Practice, always call us to check your results.
Most tests take about a week to come back with a result and for the doctor to review them, although a few take two weeks or longer.
Please call after 10am or at a quieter time such as the afternoon.
Test results will only be released to the patient, unless we have their consent to release the results to someone else.
While it's the patient's responsibility to call to check test results, if we need to speak to you urgently we'll make every effort to get in contact with you to discuss them.

We can only accept urine samples that have been requested by a clinician - that could be one of the doctors or nurses here at the Practice, or by another healthcare professional working somewhere else.
Please ask one of our Reception team for the form.
Urine samples must be brought by 3pm, as samples are collected and taken to the laboratory at this time.
Please then allow up to a week for the test result to come back and to be reviewed by a doctor, before contacting us to ask about the results.

Allocating these set times mean we can have extra staff in reception at these times only, which allows the most people possible to be upstairs in the call room answering patient phone calls at other times.
Please note that we can't book GP appointments at the front desk, please call us to book an appointment.
However if you need an appointment with a nurse or a blood test, please ask our Reception team.
