This surgery website is used to present all our patients with up to date news and information about our practice. We will keep it current with any developments or other details that we feel are relevant to you. As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff and the services we provide, we hope you will use this website as a useful resource for other health-related information.

Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site.
Services
Our telephone lines are closed for routine calls between 08:00 - 08:30, 13:00 - 14:00 and 17.00 - 18.00.
Urgent calls will be answered by the duty receptionist when required.
Out-of-hours (18:00 - 08:00 Monday - Friday, weekends and some bank holidays) there is always a doctor on call for emergencies.
Please call NHS 24 free on their national number - 111 where a trained nurse will assess your requirements and contact a GP, ambulance, or other health care professional as required.
If you phone the surgery number 01479 872484 your call will automatically transfer to NHS 24 but you will be charged for the call.
Our Practice area (see map opposite) covers the area around Grantown-on-Spey, including the villages of Dulnain Bridge, Nethybridge, Boat of Garten, Carr-bridge, Cromdale and Advie.
The Practice population is around 5500 patients.
This enables us to get some basic details about your health as it can take some time for the records to be sent to us from your previous Practice, particularly if this was outside of Scotland.
If you are on repeat medication or think you need a referral, please tell the receptionist so that a GP appointment can be arranged.
Increasingly, patient medical data is shared e.g. between GP surgeries and District Nursing, in order to give clinicians access to the most up to date information when attending patients.
The systems we operate require that any sharing of medical information is consented to by patients beforehand.
Patients must consent to sharing of the data held by a health provider out to other health providers and must also consent to which of the other providers can access their data.
In this case, patients would allow the surgery to share their data, they would allow the district nurses to access it but they would not allow access by the podiatry department.
