Situated in the north of Leamington Spa, Clarendon Lodge Medical Practice has a long tradition of serving the local community. For most of the last hundred years, the premises has been a doctor's residence and surgery. The original single handed practice became a two-man partnership (Drs Freeman and Stephens) until 1968 when they formed a group practice with Drs de Courcy and Daniels.
Since 1982, the partnership has been five, and six doctors from 1996. The practice building has undergone much extension and conversion, major re-building in 1991 and 1996. In 1965, the practice was one of the early pioneers employing a practice nurse and working with an attached health visitor. From these small beginnings the team has now grown to over thirty employed or attached colleagues.

The surgery has a ramp as well as steps leading to the entrance, making it accessible to those who use wheelchairs or walking aids.
As the surgery is a converted building, several doctors usually work upstairs.
We have a consulting room available on the ground floor so it may be helpful for you to mention your special needs when making your appointment.

GP Direct is a GP Led telephone triage based appointment system.
If you telephone before 4.00pm you will be able to talk to a GP that same day.
You will usually be able to talk to the GP of your choice, on the day that you request the contact.
You will not usually be asked to call back the next day as sometimes happens now.
You will not have to queue outside at 8.00am to get an appointment.
The new system will be fairer for all.
If you need to see or speak to a doctor then you will simply book online or ring the surgery using 01926 331401.

Our patients play a key part in this education process by giving their consent to allow the undergraduate medical students real experience in general practice and by establishing good relationships with our GP Registrar post graduate doctors.
Students from Warwick Medical School have the benefit of experiencing teaching by the majority of the practice GPs.
We train new doctors at both undergraduate and post graduate level.
Our patients play a key part in this education process by giving their consent to allow the undergraduate medical students real experience in general practice and by establishing good relationships with our GP Registrar post graduate doctors.
