Report
Same complaint, month after month. This one beats them all.
Two weeks ago, I put in my repeat prescription. I advised the receptionist that some medications are early as the chemist has to order them, but they would be delivered as normal on Wednesday the 27th, as I'm disabled. However, on Wednesday, I did not receive my butec pain patches or shorter capsules. Obviously, the receptionist failed to deliver my message.
So I rang and was told, "Yes, I'll put it through." But they didn't. Now they are due. By Friday, my opioid patch and opioid tablets are low. I rang again. I was told, "I'll mark it as urgent, and the doctor will sign it. Will you ring me back?" Yes. But no one did, so I did at 18:20. I was told the GP's clinic was running late, but he often stays to catch up. But he didn't.
By then, it's Saturday, and I had no pills and no patches. I rang 111 and was sent a prescription - one patch and enough tablets to see me till Monday.
On Tuesday, I came for a blood test and enquired again. Still, it wasn't done. The receptionist said they would do it. Now it's Wednesday, so I've just rung again. Yes, you guessed it - still not done. Now I'm experiencing agony and withdrawal.
What does it take with your staff? Obviously, now my repeats are going to be even more separated. After looking at your CQC reports, I see that they require improvement. You don't say. Every month, this happens. The last time I wrote a review, I was told I'd be contacted. That must be over a year ago. Surprise, surprise - I'm still waiting. Now it's time to take it further.
