Please browse for information about our services and links to other health-related information and resources. We provide primary care services to residents in the following areas; Borrowash, Chaddesden, Oakwood and the University of Derby. We do not advise the use of eConsult or e-mail for urgent clinical matters as these are not monitored 24 hours a day.

There are limits to the number of eConsults we can safely manage in a day, so you may find that the eConsult service is reduced when capacity has been reached. Please note that eConsult response times may take up to 2 or 3 working days, although in most cases we will try and respond within 1 working day. If your condition or query changes and becomes more urgent please telephone the surgery or contact NHS 111 for advice.

We are now booking appointments for the Flu vaccination - please see Surgery News for the latest information on how to book. Despite restrictions lifting in the community, measures will remain unchanged within our GP Practice.
Services
Face to face consultations will be offered if a telephone or video consultation is not possible or appropriate to meet your health needs or query.
Try to limit the amount of time you spend in the surgery by not arriving more than 5 minutes before you appointment.
Clinicians may be wearing scrubs, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) such as Visor, Mask, Gloves and Apron.
This is for the safety of you and our staff, please do not be alarmed by this.
To reduce the risk of cross contamination we have locked our public toilets.
We no longer issue 'green' prescriptions, they are either sent electronically directly to your nominated pharmacy or you will be given a paper 'token' to take to a pharmacy.
You will still order your repeat prescriptions in the same way as you do now, but your prescriptions will be sent electronically to the pharmacy or dispenser of your choice.
You can change your choice of dispenser at any time.
Simply speak to your GP, pharmacy of choice or the medicine order line as you order your next prescription.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).
The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.
Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs)are available in England and offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
Call 999 If you are in immediate danger, call 999 and ask for the police - the police will continue to respond to emergency calls.
If you are in danger and unable to talk on the phone, dial 999, listen to the questions from the operator and respond by coughing or tapping the handset if you can.
Then follow the instructions depending on whether you are calling from a mobile or a landline.
