We are a long established NHS medical practice in the heart of North Battersea close to Clapham Junction station. We provide a professional and family friendly service to our patients in modern and well equipped premises. The surgery is situated at ground floor level with easy wheelchair access. We offer the very best care to our patients at all times with highly skilled medical professionals and friendly helpful reception staff.
Most of our doctors, nurses and receptionists live locally and have worked in the practice for over 10 years. We pride ourselves on providing continuity of care and getting to know our patients and their families well. The Falcon Road Medical Centre has been selected to take part in an important study to test the use of self-sampling in the NHS Cervical Screening Programme in England.
Self-sampling is a new method that is being considered for the NHS Cervical Screening Programme; this test can be completed at home and if implemented in the programme could increase access to screening for many people.

Services
If you have any questions about our clinics and services please contact one of our helpful reception team.
Once you have chosen your hospital, we will share your care with the hospital midwives who will see you in one of our community clinics.
Planning To have a baby?
If you are planning to conceive, we advise you consult with a doctor particularly if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.
You will also be advised to start taking folic acid, and to have a blood test to check that you are still immune to the rubella virus - if you are not immune then immunisation can be arranged before you attempt to get pregnant.

For patients on regular medication, requests for repeat medication can be made in person, by fax, by post or online.
We regret we are unable to take request for repeat prescriptions over the phone as this can be unsafe.
You may find it more convenient for your prescription to be sent electronically to a pharmacist of your choice.
We process hundreds of prescriptions each day, and it is important that we operate a robust process that avoids the potential for error.
Each prescription is a legal document, and therefore each prescription needs to be accurate, and checked by a GP before it is signed.

Although we do not have a strict catchment area, we do prefer our patients to live within a reasonable distance to the surgery in order that we can access the right services for you and your family.
All new patients and parents of children over the age of 5 will be asked to make an appointment with our health care assistant for a health check.
This is important as we need to know if you have any medical conditions or other health needs.
This ensures we can provide you with the right help and services.
