We aim to treat our patients with respect and courteously at all times and expect our patients to treat our staff in the same respectful way.

Our team includes three GPs, two senior nurses, one health care assistant as well as our Practice Management Team, Admin Team and Reception Team. We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for children, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, respiratory conditions and certain minor surgery clinics. At Heathfield Family Centre, we aim to treat all our patients promptly and in complete confidence.

How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?
Services
Appointments are available to book up to two weeks in advance, as well as on the day bookings and emergencies.
The appointment system operates both for your convenience and to aid the doctors.
An appointment is for one person only unless agreed with the doctor beforehand.
You may see any of the doctors in the practice, not just the one with whom you are registered.
You will be offered the first available appointment.
Genuinely URGENT cases will be fitted in the same day, but not always with the doctor of your choice.
Flu vaccination is available every year on the NHS to help protect adults and children at risk of flu and its complications.
Flu can be unpleasant, but if you're otherwise healthy, it'll usually clear up on its own within a week.
Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then.
This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first.
NHS Midlands & East want you to have the best possible experience of care.
The NHS Friends and Family Test is a way of gathering your feedback, so we can continually review our services.
Your feedback will help us learn more about what you think of your experience - what you like and what you think we could improve.
Ultimately, you're helping us to make changes that will ensure we can offer the best possible care.
If you'd prefer to give your comments anonymously, then please do so.
If you do leave your contact details then we might get in touch, to talk to you about your feedback so we can better understand your views.
Patient Participation Groups act as representatives of the patient population, and are a way of better connecting general practice with the community it serves.
They meet on a regular basis to have open and constructive discussions about the services available -always with a view to taking action to make real improvements for patients and for the practice.
Patient Participation Groups are a grassroots way of affecting change, and involving patients in improving the health and well - being of the local community.
Following feedback from the recent practice questionnaire and comments made by existing and new patients we thought it important to set out again, as clearly as we can, what the triage system is and how it works.
There has been a lot of news in the press recently regarding the growing burden on general practice with more and more appointments being booked and, at the same time, resources cut.
Although it may still be difficult at times to get a routine appointment, particularly with the doctor of your choice, at short notice, we wanted to make sure that patients with an urgent need could always get to see a doctor quickly.
