Services
When you receive an appointment at the practice, please ensure that you arrive on time.
If you can no longer make your appointment, it is very important you let the practice know so this can be offered to another patient.
A lot of money is wasted in the NHS every year by patients who do not attend a booked appointment.
If you receive an appointment reminder via text message and want to cancel it, you can text back CANCEL which will immediately cancel the appointment.
Alternatively, you can call Reception on 01689 850012.
If you have an urgent health problem that cannot wait until your doctor is open, then call free phone 111.
Your call will be answered by trained operators who will provide advice and direct you to the right local service.
Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
You can call 111 anywhere in England making it easier for you to access urgent healthcare services when you need medical help fast.
Home visits are only for patients who are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery.
It is better for you to be seen at the surgery where there are better diagnostic tools and better facilities to properly assess you.
If you require a home visit please contact the surgery as soon as possible in the morning and give the receptionist your details.
We also need your baby's NHS number which can be found either on the baby discharge letter from hospital or in the Baby's 'Red Book' which should be given to you at discharge.
The Royal College of General Practitioners has produced a useful guide for patients about the services on offer at GP Surgeries and how to access them.
You can download the guide below.
You should then return it to your Employer.
Some Employers insist on a Doctor's note despite advice to the contrary from the Government and in these circumstances we may make a charge.
In this situation you can request a private certificate via the Admin section of our on-line eConsult Portal.
If you have had the illness for more than 7 days (including weekends and bank holidays) then you will need a certificate.
Your Doctor may be able to issue this without seeing you if you have been seen in another Healthcare location (for example a hospital or clinic or Physio) but only if we have a letter on your records.
