If you need medical help, the NHS is still here for you. You should continue to attend your appointments, unless you have been told not to attend by the health care team. You can still contact your GP, 111 online or call 111 for help. If it's a serious or life-threatening emergency, call 999. If you are told to go to hospital, it is important that you go.

You will receive the care you need. Please note that access for patient appointments may not always be provided at the site your normally attend and you may need to travel a short distance to alternative site of The Park Medical Practice to see a clinician. A member of staff will discuss the options of available appointments with you and suggest the most appropriate clinician for your condition.

Should you need to speak privately to a member of the staff rather than at the reception desk please be aware we have a confidential room available. In addition to this there this also a slip available for patients to complete if they do not wish for personal matters to be overheard.
Services
The Practice Manager and Deputy Practice Manager are responsible for the day to day running of the practice and the compliance with National and local NHS requirements.
The Management Team are responsible for the smooth running of the practice, the staff, the building, Health & Safety, Complaints and Suggestions, strategic planning, service development.
Their aim is to pull together all the various operations into one efficient unit.
All Nurses are trained to offer a wide range of services including travel health, diabetes and respiratory care, well woman and well men clinics, coronary heart disease and family planning services.

All nurses operate a booked appointment system and you should telephone the surgery or call in to make an appointment in order that you see the most appropriately trained nurse.
All our nurses are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have appropriate indemnity insurance.
The Health Care Assistants offer a range of clinical services throughout the week and across both sites.
The prescription team deal with the processing of all requests for medication across both sites; members of this team have undertaken additional training and are qualified in Medicine Management.
The practice also employs a range of administrative staff whose responsibilities include maintaining patient records, arranging recall of patients and data quality.
They aim to do this in an efficient and professional manner.
The care co-ordinators may at times need to obtain some health details in order to assess the urgency of the problem so they can direct you to the most appropriate health care professional.
The practice is supported by a dedicated group of patients who have volunteered to support the surgery in its developments and services.
The Patient Participation they meet between 4 -6 times a year on rotation between lunch times and evenings.
To act as a catalyst for change and improvement, seeing new treatments and services brought to the patients.
To review areas of concern to patients and specific areas for improvement, ensuring improvements are made where appropriate.
To work with the practice producing plans to support the on-going development in a proactive supportive manner.
Patients may register for an online appointment and repeat prescription service.
To do this please contact a member of the practice team who will facilitate the registration of this service.
If you are registered with Emis-Access you can view any appointments you have made online, cancel and book further appointments and also order approved medication.
Home visits should be requested before 11.00am.
Please provide reception staff with detailed information regarding the home visit as this will enable the doctors to prioritise the visit schedule.
