Our practice is a modern purpose designed medical centre serving the medical needs of patients in the Pollokshaws area. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases and offer a wide variety of medical services. Our Practice has an extensive Health Care Preventative Medical Service. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6:00pm. Telephone lines are open at 8:30am.
Late night Thursday appointments and Saturday morning appointments are available. We offer an online prescription and appointment service, patients can also self check in on arrival.

Services
Small benign lesions for example skin tags, actinic keratosis (sun spots) can be removed by freezing them off.
For patients on oral contraceptives (the pill) an annual review needs to be performed.
This involves a blood pressure check and review of your medication.
This review is carried out by one of our nurses.
In between these reviews, you can request a repeat prescription of your pill in the usual way.
It is important that if you are needing this you take it as soon as possible so please phone the surgery and tell the receptionist that this is what you need and she will organise for a doctor or nurse to speak to you when available.

We are now providing consultations via video link known as "GP Attend Anywhere".
A GP will invite a patient to attend to take part in a video consultation once they have been appropiately triaged by telephone initially.
If you are unwell and feel you need to see a doctor today, please explain to our receptionist that you need to be "seen today" and they will give you an appointment or will arrange for you to speak to the doctor.

Options are available to patients if they prefer to collect their prescriptions posted in a stamp addressed envelope if provided.

The South Glasgow Wellbeing Services consists of psychologists, cognitive-behavioural therapists, counsellors and guided self -help workers to help patients overcome these issues.
They offer a variety of self-help materials, groups and courses for all sorts of problems that you may be facing.

A vaccination to protect against tetanus is given as part of the NHS childhood vaccination programme.

Most students have already been immumised, but if not you can be immunised against meningococcal infection which can cause meningitis and septicaemia.
