If you or a member of the family become unwell and need to see a GP at the weekend, you can call 111 and you'll be directed to a surgery in your local area where you will be offered an appointment for that day. There is now a GP practice open every weekend from 08:00am to 08:00pm and during bank holidays from 10.00am to 4.00pm in the Feltham Locality of Hounslow.

You don't need to be registered at any of the practices which are open to use at the weekends and your medical record will be available to the GP you see. Your local pharmacists can not only provide over-the-counter medication for everyday ailments but they can also offer advice about minor illnesses, such as ear ache, stomach upsets and diarrhoea.

Most have consulting rooms to protect patient privacy, without the need for an appointment. When you need help quickly but it's not an emergency, NHS 111 is available free 24 hours a day every day of the year. Friendly, highly-trained advisors, supported by experienced nurses and paramedics, can talk through your concerns and offer healthcare advice or direct you to the service that can help you best.

Dr Winayak has a number of specialised interests, including gynaecology, family planning and coronary heart disease.
His is the Chair of the Hounslow Local Medical Committee.
He was formerly an appraiser and assessor of practices, and was on the local Commissioning Board.
Other doctors also work within the Practice.
It is a privilege having a number of dedicated doctors who undertake sessions at the practice.
The practice manager is Mrs Sheena Winayak BA LLB and she oversees the day-to-day administration and smooth running of the practice.
The practice provides full general medical services and also some national and local enhanced services under the new GP contract.
This PMS practice also offers a number of service initiatives including elderly annual screening (for all patients aged over 75 years), osteoporosis screening, alcohol misuse and avoidance initiatives and is a teenage friendly practice.
These are just a few examples of these initiatives.
The practice continues to achieve high quality framework points and encourages patients to attend repeat medication reviews and health checks on a regular basis.
As a surgery we are committed to providing the best care for our patients and this includes making information accessible under the Accessible Information Standard.
All organisations that provide NHS or adult social care must follow the Accessible Information Standard by law.
The Accessible Information Standard aims to make sure that disabled people have access to information that they can understand and any communication support they might need.
If you are a Carer and think that you would benefit from a Carers Assessment with the Local Council, please make an appointment for a review with Gina our Health Care Assistant.
Carers are defined as:.any person, adult or child, who provides unpaid support to a partner relative or friend who could not manage to live independently or whose health or well-being would deteriorate without this help.
This could be due to frailty, disability or serious health condition, mental ill health or substance abuse.
We can provide interpreting services in any language covered by Translation and Interpreting Services.
This is available for both visits to reception and for consultations with any of the clinical staff.
The service also provides a face-to-face interpreting service, using BSL, for the deaf and hard of hearing.
