The Lambert Medical Centre is a rural 4 partner dispensing practice with a catchment radius of approximately 7 miles of Thirsk. We dispense medication to patients who live more than a mile from the nearest chemists shop. The surgery staff consists of 9 Doctors, a Practice Manager, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Manager, 1 Nurse Practitioner/Diabetes Specialist, 3 Practice Nurses, 4 Healthcare Assistants, a Dispensary Team and a Reception/Adminsitration Team.

The Doctor may be able to help over the phone, issue a prescription for collection, direct you to an appropriate service or ask you to come into surgery for a face to face appointment.
Our Nurse Practitioners are qualified nurse's who have undertaken advanced additional training and are able to assess, diagnose, treat and refer patients with a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries such as childhood illnesses, coughs, sore throats and earache, Diarrhoea & Vomiting, urine infections, trips, falls and wounds.
If you require support during a crisis single point of access is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week so you can get help when you need it.
You can also self-refer to IAPT here who can provide talking therapies for a number of difficulties including depression, anxiety, phobias, PTSD and OCD.
