As a healthcare setting with significant footfall we must prioritise the safety of our patients, community & staff. Therefore we will maintain our existing infection control measures & ask all patients who are invited to attend for face to face appointments to wear a mask or face covering whilst in the practice. By necessity we have ill & vulnerable patients in our premises & we must ensure they are protected as best as possible.

We continue to see patients face to face when clinically necessary including routine health checks & screening as we have throughout the pandemic.
Services
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less.
If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (statutory sick pay).
With your employer's support, the note will help you return to work sooner by providing more information about the effects of your illness or injury.
As part of our commitment to medical education, Gladstone Medical Centre has been providing medical education and tuition to medical students from Liverpool University since 1998.
In addition, since 2005, we became involve in the training of post-graduate doctors in General Practice, providing both clinical and educational supervision for Foundation Doctors.
These students and doctors spend some time with the GPs, Management staff and the Nursing staff of the practice to learn about different aspects of patient care in a Primary Care setting.
The NHS 111 service provides urgent medical care or advice when the surgery is closed.
If you require urgent medical assistance that cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please phone 111.
